Migraine, Day 10
I have not been able to get rid of this beast. Two trips to the ER and numerous meds and it still has a hold on me. It's even begun to open the door for madness to creep in...
I'm going to "plow through" today. I did this many times in my college days when a migraine would take over my life but all I had was me. Now, I've got a husband, two boys, a house, and a business. They all need me. I need me.
I have never experienced anything so debilitating for so long. It is threatening my sanity.
I can't look at the screen anymore. I have to go.
Oh sweety, I am so sorry this beastly migraine is hounding you. You may be at the point of rebounding now from the pain meds. I hope you get better soon!

this is so horrible. my BIL gets cluster headaches once every two years and is completely wiped out for 1-2 weeks. i can't even imagine what you are going through.

UGH. I can't even imagine. I am a migraine sufferer too - but I've never had one that lasted that long. I hope it clears up quickly now. I wish I had some miracle cure - but the only thing that works for me is to stay hydrated and lay down in a dark, cold bedroom.
Order pizza, let the housework pile up, and do the bare minimum to keep your business going. And REST, REST, REST!

Are you kidding me? Ten days sounds excruciating! Your doctor can't do anything? Can you find another doctor??

So sorry. I hope you're feeling better soon.

I'm so, so sorry. I suffer migraines as well, and I'm currently on day three. It's finally starting to wind down or I wouldn't be able to look at the computer screen either.
I do not take meds because drugs freak me out. But this one has been bad enough and long enough that I made an appointment to see my doctor.
My children are a little older, so they are in school all day, and can mostly fend for themselves when home. But I completely understand because it's still hugely disruptive to all our lives.
I wish I had some great advice. I usually just hit the bed with an ice pack to the back of my head. Blinds closed, fan on, air conditioner turned way down.
I sincerely hope you get some relief soon.

I used to have a problem with chronic migraines, although now that I know what my personal "trigger" is, I have fewer episodes.
I've tried all the meds, and most of them the side effects were worse than the migraines, IF they did anything at all.
I was SHOCKED and amazed to find out that alka-seltzer is now my best friend. See I found this med called "Migramax", which really worked for me... then I found out that it's basically just a huge dose of aspirin. alka-seltzer is aspirin and bicarbonate, which helps settle the tummy too.
Don't know if that will work for you, but I thought it was worth offering... it's cheap and easy to try, and it won't send you to the ER.

Oh, poor you :( I'm amigraine sufferer too, but have never had a ten day one - I just can't imagine how awful that would be. Hope you're feeling better by the time you read this.

I'm so sorry. I don't suffer from migraines but I know so many people who do. They can be so debilitating. I hope you find relief soon.
